Recognizing the growing importance of digital media in universities and other institutions, the Digital Media in Education Conference was created. As the creator, UBC Studios Okanagan was excited to bring together digital media practitioners and education industry users to network, share knowledge, learn, and innovate. The conference was intended to have an established name that would remain consistent each year, while allowing flexibility for the theme and geographic location to change. UBC Studios Okanagan envisioned this event expanding and being hosted at various institutions around North America.
